(stupidly in love with Katy Perry's new Vanity Fair cover. splendid)

(in love with Tatler's May cover starring Natalia Vodianova. I never read Tatler but the colours on this is gorgeous)

(Writing my dissertation proposal piece which is about the the effects that i-D Magazine had on the magazine industry. How it began as a fanzine and was about style rather than fashion. This is one my favourite covers. 144. The Fun & Games Issue. Cover star: PJ Harvey. Photography: Craig McDean)

Hairspray

I think these images are brilliant of Jessica Simpson.
Can you believe she's nearly a billionaire?

Blown Away

Literally blown away by this Vogue Cover, I absolutely love it!

In Love

Elle's Collections is going on sale tomorrow and the cover, as usual, is stunning. I love the covers they come up with and their really interesting and different to the monthly magazine. Elle have one of the best covers in the magazine industry! what do you think of the cover?

Looking Back Mary-Kate Olsen

Mary Kate Olsen graced the cover of Elle UK for the September 2008 Issue. This was when I really started reading Elle and is one of my favourite shoots of Mary-Kate. I love the fur Miu Miu coat! This is actually one of my favourite Elle covers aswel, especially the collectors edition!

Christmas Eve

So the big day is tomorrow. Christmas is a little bitter-sweet as I think it can be a happy time for most but also a sad time. To celebrate Christmas the fashion way, here's a look back at the last ten years of Vogue December Issues.

December 2000
Kate Moss shot by Nick Knight. I love the cover with the silhouette, reminds me of the old Vogue Covers

December 2001
Another Kate Moss cover shot by Nick Knight. Love love love how clean the cover is and the red really stands  and Kate looks so different from usual.

December 2002
Elton John and Liz Hurley shot by Mario Testino. I love this cover  as it' so fun and i love the use of the piano. This screams Christmas!

December 2003
A very young looking Kylie Minogue shot by Nick Knight. I love how she's sat in a champagne glass/chair. This cover is very millenium 2000's with the use of silver.

December 2004
A big fan of Sienna Miller so I love this cover shot by Mario Testino. I think the colours purple and silver work really well together and the pantomime font they have used.

December 2005
Gwyneth Paltrow shot by Regan Cameron for a very non festive christmas issue. The december issue is all about glitz and glamour and Vogue have failed to impress with this cover.

December 2006
To celebrate Vogue's 90th birthday, a collection of different covers. I love the concept and the way it turned out, celebrating both old and new covers.

December 2007
Sienna Miller once again shot by Nick Knight. I love this cover with the use of silver and the text chosen. This is my favourite christmas cover and by far the most festive.

December 2008
Kate Moss by Nick Knight. I love the colours used and the romanticism of it all. Kate looks beautiful and I love that the cover folded out to create a bigger picture.

December 2009
Lara Stone shot by Mario Testino. I love the colours used with the white black and pale pink but the one thing that really bothers me about the cover is that Lara's corset is too tight for her and it barely covers her *ahem* assets. This could have been stunning if it had been tight right size.

December 2010
I really dislike this cover. I find Emma Watson, shot by Mario Testino, irrelevant and a girl who got lucky. I dislike her hair and there's too much going on, on the cover. Too much text and too much gold. Vogue's November issue would have been a stunning choice for a cover. You can see that here

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and that Santa brings you what you wanted! For today's Friday Song, something festive. This is my favourite Christmas song ever! I love the lyrics!

"Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby do you recognise me?
Well it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me

(Happy Christmas!) I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I Love You" I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now I know you'd fool me again"

Times Like These

Today I finally managed to get everything in order for Christmas, Shopping done, cleaning done etc. so it was nice to finally sit down to read my magazines. I have subscribed to Elle for the last few years so I get the collector's covers, and it's issues like this one that make me glad I do. The collecter's is pretty much always better than the news stand version and I especially love this issue. Carey looks stunning. I haven't 100% fallen for Carey's charm yet as there's a good chance she'll burn out soon but her magazine editorials are always nice and I really liked it when she wore the Prada beach dress. Carey reminds me a little of Kirsten Dunst (I'm hoping Kirsten will make a comeback in 2011) This issue is getting me a little closer to the 100% mark so I hope she 'careys' on (apologies for the pun, how tragic of me!)

Wink

I've only been reading i-D magazine for the last 2 years so I'm a new fan. I always love the covers as I'm sure you've noticed by now every person on the cover does a little wink. I think it's really cool how the magazine can still have this identity after many years. Here are some of my favourite covers.

Christmas Sparkle

I am in love with this Katy Perry Special Edition Harpers Bazaar US. I love the simplicity of the image, looks like old illustrations you use to get on vogue covers!

Classic Vogue

Take a look at some of these classic Vogue Covers. I love that they use to illustrate covers, I love fashion photography but this concept is really interesting. I wonder if Vogue would ever do an illustrated cover again, maybe for an anniversary issue! What do you think of these covers? I love the art deco feel, art deco style art is one of my favourite types of art.
