Winter Wonderland

After a catastrophic day in the snow today I finally made it home for christmas! Feels so good to be home surrounded by all the decorations, family, warmth and food!!! Any university student will know how nice it is to have food on demand! The snow was so beautiful today and to 'celebrate' that here's a beautiful photo shoot taken by Tim Walker. The shoot is so magical so I thought it was appropriate for today!

For today's Friday Song something a little upbeat. I can't stop listening to this song I've gone a little obsessed! I promise something a little Christmassy next week!

Biffy Clyro Bubbles

"Well how's your view of things today?
Got up young to fade away
The sinners sin but aren't aware
Our fables take us everywhere
I can't keep up with you
I can't keep up"

Helena Part Une

I'm sure a lot of people were shocked when Helena Bonham Carter made Vanity Fair's Best Dressed List (Helena included) but I love Helena's bonkers style. I think she's a great actress (my favourite character of hers is Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter) and the fact that she's married to Tim Burton makes her even more interesting. He's created some of the weirdest films ever! I've chosen some pictures of Helena that really show off her beauty and amazing figure. I've also included the shoot she did with Tim Burton for Vogue a few years ago with one of my favourite photographers Tim Walker. I'll do another post on Helena's Street and Red Carpet style later on in the week!

Only Girl In The World Part Deux

I am in love with Rihanna's Album Artwork for her new album, I think because it's very similar to her video for Only Girl (in the world) which is such a good video/song! I love seeing where people get their inspirations from and seeing how people perceive and develop their ideas! The inspiration from the video has come from Tim Walker's photography. You can see the influence with the use of bright colours and the balloons with the water and the suspended garments. Tim Walker is one of my favourite photographers. I've only recently really got into his work, he uses a lot of colour which I've never been a fan of. You should have a look at his work here! Here are some of the original photographs that have been used for inspiration in the video.

Here are some video stills from the video (their not the best of quality, this was the best I could do)

This video makes me want to have bright red hair so badly! Do you see the inspiration? And of course to see it even more here's the video
