Never saw the appeal before but now he's a little more groomed I can see what Katy sees in him)

And The Winners Are...

These were my favourite outfit's worn at last nights people's choice awards! 

Selena Gomez wore two dresses and the second was my favourite which was designed by Irina Shabayeva. I love the colours and the fabrics and I usually don't like dresses with two different lengths but I think this works really well!

Katy Perry wore this Betsey Johnson design which is so wrong its right! I love the bright colours contrasted against her dark hair and light complexion. Nice to see someone having fun with their dressing!

Taylor Swift- This was my favourite! A gorgeous peach dress designed by J mendel. I love the colour and cut out design and it matches Taylor's hair and make up well! I'm keeping my eye out on her!

From Sketchbook to Runaway

I love looking at original sketches that designers have done and how they've come to life on the catwalk! Katy Perry performed at the Victoria's Secret fashion show last night in outfits designed by Todd Thomas. In the pictures you can see Katy performing and the original sketches of the designs.

Original

Yesterday in Uni was really interesting, we were taught how to plan and design photo shoots/videos through story boards. A story board basically means planning what exactly your going to do, which colours you'll use etc. Along with the story board, you have a mood board which is where your inspiration came from and the theme. We looked at lots of different videos of people planning famous tv adverts and one of the videos was the making of Katy Perry's 'California Gurls' music video.The video showed that the original concept of the video was from a series of paintings made my 'Will cotton' you can see the original paintings below. Will cotton actually worked on the video and he built the life size 'candy world' he also did the album artwork for Katy's album 'Teenage Dream' you can see where the inspiration came from and it's nice to see how Will's original idea was interpreted for Katy. I've posted the videos up as I think their really interesting. One is on the album artwork and the other is for the music video!

Happy Birthday Katy

I couldn't of course go today without mentioning Katy Perry. Today is Mrs Brand's 26th birthday! You must know by now that I love this girl! I did manage to get a ticket to see her on tour in the end, in April! Yaaaay! Cannot Wait! So have a fab day Katy! Here's the Rolling Stone shoot she did a few months ago!

Fireworks

I know I constantly go on about how much I love Katy Perry, but I can't help it. Her Europe tour went on sale yesterday but unfortunately I couldn't get any tickets. I don't know what it is about her but she's gorgeous and has something non-robotic about her which usual pop stars have. I'm not usually into pop music but I love every one of her songs. Here she is performing her new song on tonights X-Factor. She sounds and looks amazing! Enjoy
